JAKARTA, April 22, 2026 – The legendary aroma of cloves and nutmeg from the Maluku Islands now greets residents of the capital. Through a strategic collaboration between the Association of Indonesian City Governments (APEKSI), the Ternate City Government, the Tidore Islands City Government, and Hotel Borobudur Jakarta, a promotional event titled “Discover the Natural Treasure of Ternate & Tidore” was officially launched.
The event, which ran from April 22 to May 31, 2026, was part of APEKSI’s “Local to Global” program to bring Indonesian cities to the international stage, in partnership with Hotel Borobudur. The event featured various activities, including a Business and Investment Forum, a People’s Party, Youth Talk: Bacarita Basudara with the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy and the Presidential Special Staff for MSMEs & Technology, Ternate Tidore Culinary, an MSME Bazaar, Earth Day, and a Ternate & Tidore Cultural Performance.
