City-to-City Learning and Innovation Lab: Waste Management Practices

APEKSI participated in the City-to-City Learning and Innovation Lab: Waste Management Practices, organized by UCLG ASPAC, hosted by the Depok City Government on July 28, 2026, at the Margo City Hotel in Depok. This activity brought together approximately 90 participants, consisting of representatives from city and regional governments, ministries, development partners, and experts, to strengthen collaboration in realizing a more effective, integrated, and sustainable urban waste management system through the exchange of knowledge and best practices between regions.

In this activity, APEKSI played an active role as a strategic partner representing city governments in Indonesia in the Group B Discussion session, which addressed waste management governance, policies, and financing. APEKSI shared insights and input on strengthening policies, institutions, financing mechanisms, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and community participation in supporting urban waste management. Through this involvement, APEKSI is encouraging synergy between city governments, the central government, and development partners to produce recommendations and follow-up actions that can be replicated by cities across Indonesia to accelerate the realization of inclusive, innovative, and sustainable waste management.
