APEKSI, represented by APEKSI Executive Director Alwis Rustam, highlighted the importance of regional budget management to align with the national fiscal deficit policy on March 27, 2026, on CNBC Indonesia.
Alwis Rustam stated that policies regarding the global situation should not be reactive. They require in-depth studies and careful consideration, taking into account the diverse circumstances of each city, including regencies. APEKSI is monitoring the situation by assessing the impact of efficiency measures on cities.
The government emphasized that the state budget deficit is under control at below 3% of GDP, thereby encouraging city governments to implement budget efficiency measures, achieve operational savings, and optimize Regional Own Source Revenue (PAD) amid economic challenges.
