Head Planning Forum Agency in ISC 2022

The Association of Indonesian City Governments (Apeksi) held a forum attended by the heads of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) and ranks from Apeksi’s Member Cities on Thursday (13/10/2022). Leading the topic “Guarding the Sustainability of Regional Development Planning 2020-2024”, this forum invited resource persons who are competent in their fields, namely Supriyadi S.Si, M.T as the Main Expert Planner of the Regional Deputy of the Ministry of PPN/BAPPENAS, Teguh Setyabudi as the Director General of Regional Development of the Ministry of Internal Affairs State, and Khasan Bisri as Coordinator of Regional Government Accountability Supervision I BPKP Central Java Province.

Bima Arya, Chairman of the Apeksi Management Board, said “State officials must be good at maintaining communication and relations with various parties so that planning can be inclusive,”. If not, of course in this case there will be problems at the regional to city level. “In addition, it is important for us to emphasize the issue of sustainable development because a vision without a precise transition will only be a dream,” he continued.

“In efficient planning there are two accountability, namely development accountability and financial accountability,” said Khasan Bisri. Planning that used to only lead to financial accountability compliance, now has to be designed not on results but also on performance and measures of success. According to Teguh Setyabudi, this concept refers to a smart city by prioritizing basic services and the principles of sustainable development. He also invited each other to commit to each other regarding sustainable development planning.

Followed by a question-and-answer session at the end of the forum, the questioners were very enthusiastic about asking and the questions were immediately responded to by the speakers. The forum then ended with closing words by Alwis Rustam as Apeksi’s Executive Director, “How can our development be grounded, this is our current responsibility. Local media need to provide opportunities for local governments to convey information and suggestions. It is hoped that all ministries/institutions/services can be controlled properly.”
