Jakarta – APEKSI attended the Training of Trainers (ToT) Module Development Workshop: Inclusive Governance, organized by the SETARA Institute on July 8, 2025. APEKSI’s presence at this forum demonstrated its support for efforts to strengthen the capacity of local governments to realize inclusive, participatory, and equitable governance. APEKSI was represented by Sri Indah Wibi Nastiti and Heffy Octaviani, who provided input on the development of the book framework and training modules.
This workshop was a follow-up to the successful implementation of the Training of Trainers held by SETARA Institute four years ago, involving five cities in Indonesia. The high enthusiasm and positive response from the participants encouraged SETARA Institute to hold a similar program with a broader scope, inviting ten cities. Not only focused on developing training modules, this workshop also aimed to produce a book that would serve as a reference and learning material on inclusive governance for local governments and the wider community.
In addition to APEKSI, the workshop also featured several speakers from various institutions, including Muhammad Subhi from the Inklusif Foundation, Mu’min Group from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, and Abdul Waidl from INFID. The participants’ input will inform improvements to the book and modules currently being developed. The development team aims to have the final draft of the book and the ToT module completed by the end of July 2026, as a first step in strengthening the implementation of more inclusive governance in various cities across Indonesia.
