APEKSI was present to oversee regulatory balance during the Public Testing held by the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK) on March 10, 2026. This open forum was held specifically to discuss the determination of nicotine and tar levels, involving various stakeholders, including tobacco farmers, industry players, and the health sector.
Through this inclusive dialogue, APEKSI is committed to objectively absorbing and voicing aspirations from various regions. Determining nicotine and tar levels is considered to require a prudent approach because it directly impacts the tobacco industry supply chain, which is a major source of regional revenue (PAD) in several cities.
