Directorat Annual Report

 

The Directorate APEKSI has reported the Individual Taxpayer’s Annual Tax Return (SPT) electronically on Thursday – Friday, 28 and 29 March 2024. Activities are carried out offline and online at the APEKSI Office, Kuningan, South Jakarta.

 

Based on Law no. 28 of 2007 concerning General Provisions and Tax Procedures explains that an Annual Tax Return (Annual SPT) is a letter used by taxpayers to report the calculation and payment of tax, income, assets or other tax obligations in accordance with tax laws and regulations for one tax year. The deadline for submitting an Individual Taxpayer’s Annual SPT is no later than 3 months after the end of the tax year. Submission of this Annual SPT is mandatory for all Taxpayers who already have a Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP).

 

Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia (MenKeu RI) Sri Mulyani Indrawati, when met at the Presidential Palace on Friday, March 22 2024, she appealed to the public to report the Annual Tax Returns of Individual Taxpayers for the 2023 tax year on time. He also said that the deadline for submitting the Annual Individual Taxpayer SPT for the 2023 Tax Year is March 31 2024 and the Corporate Taxpayer’s Annual SPT for the 2023 Tax Year is April 30 2024, in accordance with the Law on General Provisions and Tax Procedures (UU KUP), & Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 242 of 2014.

 

After carrying out the Individual Annual SPT reporting, all employees of the APEKSI directorate show Electronic Receipt Proof (BPE). This BPE is obtained after successfully reporting the Individual Annual Tax Return electronically.

 

Director of Counseling, Services and Public Relations at the Directorate General of Taxes, Dwi Astuti, said that as of March 31 2024 at 11.50 WIB, 12.7 million taxpayers had submitted annual tax returns. Submission of Annual Tax Returns for Tax Year 2023 grew by around 4.92% compared to the same period last year. A total of 12.7 million taxpayers who have submitted detailed annual tax returns consist of 348,320 corporate taxpayers and the remainder consist of individual taxpayers.
