Training Assistance on Calculation Procedures for Handling Tariffs & Coastal City Waste Retribution in Manado

 

MANADO CITY — APEKSI, GIZ, 3RproMar, Waste4Change and the Directorate of Waste Management of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry collaborated for the Assistance Training activity on the Calculation Procedures for Waste Management and Retribution Tariffs focusing on coastal areas. One of them is Manado City.

 

The FGD with the Manado City regional apparatus was held on Tuesday-Wednesday, October 8-9. This FGD aims to identify and validate the appropriate waste management scheme (SPS), as well as identify the SPS scheme and assumptions that are the basis for calculating waste management and retribution tariffs in Manado City.

 

Tri Utari, Policy Advocacy Manager said that the FGD on the procedure for calculating waste retribution can be part of the preparation of regional strategies for Fiscal Independence through local taxing power.

 

The City Government needs to have the capacity to calculate waste management costs (SWM) and retribution tariffs based on Permendagri No. 7 of 2021. [FP]
