APEKSI demonstrated its attention to the development of the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism sector by attending the MICE Center – Focus Group Discussion (FGD): Analysis of Venue Needs Level in Central Java Province. The discussion, held on August 21, 2025, in Jakarta, was a vital forum to deeply analyze the ideal needs and standards for venue facilities to support national and international scale events in Central Javanese cities. APEKSI’s presence ensured that the perspective of city governments, as the parties responsible for infrastructure development and local regulations, was integrated into the strategic planning for MICE Center development.
The FGD specifically underscored the importance of selecting venues that are not only strategically located and accessible but are also capable of creating the best possible experience for participants and significantly contributing to the success of an event. APEKSI fully supports efforts to raise the standard of venues in Central Java, hoping that new or improved facilities will attract major event organizers, including APEKSI’s own future activities. This collaboration demonstrates a collective awareness that quality MICE infrastructure is key to advancing the regional economy, increasing tourist visits, and strengthening the cities’ image as competitive business and meeting destinations.
