APEKSI-SETI KMF 2025: Encouraging Building Energy Transition for Sustainable Cities

APEKSI, in collaboration with SETI (Sustainable Energy Transition Initiative), took a strategic step by successfully holding the Knowledge Management Forum (KMF) 2025 in Surabaya. With the crucial theme “Towards a Sustainable City Through the Implementation of Energy Transition in Buildings,” this forum served as a crucial platform for realizing a developed, safe, and comfortable city by focusing on decarbonizing the building sector. KMF 2025 aimed to comprehensively map energy implementation challenges, share practical innovations, and formulate integrated policy recommendations. This effort was recognized as key, requiring strong commitment from regional heads and active collaboration between regulators, practitioners, and industry players to accelerate the development of an urban energy transition roadmap.

The importance of this initiative was further reinforced by the presence of the Deputy Minister of Public Works, Diana Kusumastuti, who emphasized the need to accelerate the transformation of the building sector toward green and smart buildings as a concrete response to climate change and the achievement of sustainable development. The 2025 KMF, initiated by APEKSI-SETI, serves as a platform for building a broader collaborative network among stakeholders, ensuring regional commitment and readiness in addressing energy issues. By encouraging active cross-sector collaboration, it is hoped that the energy transition target can be achieved, making buildings the vanguard in realizing a truly sustainable urban ecosystem in Indonesia.
