Muskomwil II: Creating an Advanced, Innovative, and Happy City in South Sumatra

 

Jambi City hosted the Regional Assembly Meeting (Muskomwil) II on 26-28 November 2025. The event opened with a warm gala dinner at the Griya Mayang Hall, the Jambi Mayor’s Official Residence, on Wednesday evening (November 26th), serving as a gathering and collaboration for the Mayors from across South Sumatera.

 

This important event not only strengthened urban development synergy but also saw the inauguration of the APEKSI Regional Commissariat II 2025-2028 period by the Vice Chairperson for Government and Autonomy, Mayor of Bandar Lampung, Eva Dwiana, S.E., M.Si. (also Advisor to Regional Commission II); the Mayor of Jambi, Dr. dr. H. Maulana, M.K.M., as Chairperson of Regional Commissariat II, accompanied by the Mayor of Palembang, Drs. H. Ratu Dewa, M.Si., as Vice Chairperson of Regional Commissariat II.

 

In addition to discussing programs and recommendations, participants visited two strategic locations: the Sijenjang Centralized Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL) and the Muaro Jambi Temple Area (November 27). The series of activities concluded with exercise, breakfast together, and tree planting (November 28). It is hoped that this forum can provide a space for sharing strategies, innovations, and inspiration to strengthen synergies and realize increasingly advanced, innovative, and happy cities in South Sumatera.
