APEKSI once again demonstrated its strong commitment to smart city development by participating in the prestigious Indonesia International Smart City Expo & Forum (IISMEX) 2025. This major expo and forum was held at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta, for three days, from 13 to 15 August 2025. APEKSI’s presence at IISMEX, which is Indonesia’s largest exhibition and conference for smart city solutions, underscores the association’s central role as a bridge between innovative technology and its implementation at the city government level. APEKSI utilized this platform to showcase the various smart city successes of its member cities and to forge collaborations with technology providers and investors.
APEKSI’s primary goal in participating in IISMEX 2025 was to encourage closer synergy among city governments, technology solution providers, and other stakeholders. Through its exhibition booth and involvement in forum sessions, APEKSI facilitated its member cities to directly explore and adopt the latest technologies—ranging from intelligent transportation management systems and mobile-based public service applications to urban cybersecurity solutions. This involvement is crucial to ensure that digital transformation in Indonesia moves forward equitably, enabling every city to build an adaptive and responsive digital infrastructure, and ultimately enhancing the quality of life and competitiveness of urban communities.
