P3NK Symposium and Exhibition – Management, Acquisition and Enhancement of Area Value

On December 5-6, 2024, the Association of Indonesian Municipalities (APEKSI) and Bandung City Government collaborated to hold a symposium and exhibition on the management, acquisition, and enhancement of regional value (P3NK) through the development of urban infrastructure and national strategic projects. Several National Strategic Centers (PSN) located in Bandung City, namely the Bandung Inter Urban Toll Road (BIUTR), the Bandung Raya Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), and the Gedebage TOD, became case studies for discussion at this symposium. The P3NK symposium and exhibition aims to review and synchronize the creation of a cycle of benefit values from the provision of infrastructure consisting of a cycle of value creation, value capture, and regional development.

The P3NK Symposium and Exhibition invites city governments, central governments, and the private sector to discuss cooperation and collaboration in achieving P3NK. Local governments as implementers of P3NK are expected to play an important role in the implementation of P3NK, so regional support is needed to successfully implement this mechanism. Local governments are expected to be able to take initiatives to create regional value through the implementation of regional government policies and the provision of infrastructure

In addition, funding is an important component in achieving predetermined targets. The limitations of the APBD are a challenge for local governments to implement the plans and targets that will be prepared. Therefore, the P3NK symposium and exhibition also invited the World Bank and PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur to explain alternative financing that can be used to support the management, acquisition, and increase of regional value (P3NK). Regional loans offered by PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur are an alternative financing in the challenge of budget limitations. However, local governments need to first examine the potential, capabilities, and risk management of their respective regions.
