The Indo Smart City Expo and Forum 2022 organized by APEKSI closed the event with a fourth forum on Friday (14/10/2022) which was attended by more than 150 students and four resource persons who were competent in their fields, including Yudi Cahyantoro N. S as the leader of UPT Solo Technopark, Eti Herawati as Deputy Mayor of Cirebon, Agung Riyadi as Head of Balitbangda Surakarta, and also Jamalul Izza as Chair of the Indonesian Internet Foundation. With the theme “The Role of Students and Students in a Smart City”, the speakers presented the material very interestingly. Starting from the video display, inviting the forum participants to voice their chants together, to the presentation of a representative presentation.
“Smart city is not only the use of technology, but also multi-stakeholder collaboration. Collaboration is an important keyword,” said Yudi. The collaboration between the Surakarta City government and UPT Solo Technopark, both have a vision of creating creative innovations. “The latest Solo Technopark program is Indonesia Digital Technopark with a vision to create creative and innovative technology-based tenants, industries and SMEs,” said Agung Riyadi.
Realizing a smart city by always utilizing technological advances and collaborating with various institutions, supported by youth (especially students and students) as intelligent human resources.
Followed by a question and answer session at the end of the forum, students showed their enthusiasm during the presentation of the material. The interviewees responded to this question with great care. At the end of the session before the closing took place, each resource person gave a closing statement, including “Continue innovation” delivered by Agung Riyadi, “Not only the use of technology, but also collaboration” delivered by Yudi Cahyantoro, “Empowered youth, strong Indonesia” who conveyed by Eti Herawati, and the last one is “Never be satisfied to be creative”, concluded Jamalul Izza.
Representing the Mayor of Surakarta who was unable to attend, Agung Riyadi expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of the Surakarta City Government, APEKSI, PT Gerindo, all stakeholders, sponsors and exhibitors for holding a series of Indo Smart City Expo and Forum 2022 events. As well as all invited guests of the Indonesian city government who participated to participate in the success of the Indo Smart City 2022 event. At the end of his speech, he said “Alhamdulillah, Praise and Gratitude to God Almighty. See you at the Indo Smart City 2023 activity.”
