South Tangerang City is an autonomous region that was formed at the end of 2008 based on Law Number 51 of 2008 concerning the Establishment of South Tangerang City in Banten Province dated 26 November 2008. the purpose of improving services in the fields of government, development, and society as well as being able to provide capabilities in the utilization of regional potentials in order to accelerate the realization of community welfare.

To be able to provide an overview of South Tangerang City from various sides, a document is needed that includes an overview of the region, population, social, culture, economy and completeness of infrastructure.
