As an effort to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in line with Presidential Regulation no. 59 of 2017, APEKSI in collaboration with PT Surveyor Indonesia initiated the SDGs Rating and Awarding program for City Governments, namely “Integrated Sustainability Indonesia Movement (I-SIM) for Cities”. sustainable development in Indonesia.
This activity, which is also supported by Bappenas, aims to spread awareness of the SDGs/SDGs, the importance of disclosure and benchmarks for the progress of achieving SDGs/SDGs at the national to sub-national levels, especially city governments.

The City Government is a key player in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets which end in 2030. In addition to the road map and National Action Plan for TPB/SDGs stated in Presidential Regulation No. 59 of 2017, the City Government feels requires a forum for measuring and appreciating the achievement of SDGs which is more than accountability.
PT Surveyor Indonesia as the government’s agent of development collaborated with APEKSI (Association of Indonesian City Governments) to develop the I-SIM for Cities program, where city governments can disclose data and obtain ranking results in order to accelerate the performance of these achievements.
With the spirit of inclusivity or no one left behind, I-SIM for Cities creates penta helix involvement of multi-stakeholders, such as government, academia, community, business and media.
More than that, this program also encourages the development of city government capabilities towards international sustainable city standards. The I-SIM for Cities program can be an attraction for private and global parties to invest in city flagship programs by applying shared values between the ESG and SDGs.
The ranking and awarding scheme is a transformative solution to accelerate the achievement of City SDGs and encourage the development of city government capabilities towards international sustainable city standards.
