Apeksi Accompanies City Government to Access Financing Outside APBD

 

Finding sources of financing outside the APBD is an alternative solution to overcome the limitations of regional fiscal space in funding various development programs.

 

YOGYAKARTA, KOMPAS — The Association of Indonesian Municipalities or Apeksi will assist its members in accessing sources of financing outside the APBD. The goal is for city governments to have adequate fiscal space to fund various development projects and community welfare programs.

 

This was conveyed by the Chairman of the Apeksi Board of Directors, Eri Cahyadi, when giving a speech at the launch of the book Best Practices Apeksi: Innovation in Alternative Financing for Regional Development and a Knowledge Management Forum discussion in the City of Yogyakarta, Tuesday (10/12/2024).

 

Eri explained that in building a city, extraordinary acceleration is needed. However, this acceleration is limited by the fiscal capacity of each region.

 

Therefore, regions must dare to take breakthroughs in financing outside the APBD. One of them is through loans from government-owned financing institutions.
