New Asia-Africa Solidarity in Bandung: APEKSI Present at the 2025 Festival of Breathing Inclusion and Global Justice

APEKSI once again plays a key role in the Bandung City Government’s annual event, the Asia Africa Festival (AAF) 2025, which is part of the commemoration of the Asia Africa Conference (AAC) on 18-19 October 2025.

AAF 2025 carries the theme: “A New Generation of Asia Africa, more inclusive, peaceful, and just, through collaboration and innovation, while respecting the values of solidarity.” It serves not only as a cultural parade but also as a platform for education and in-depth dialogue. Since its inception in 2015, the festival has consistently strived to revive the spirit of the 1955 AAC and the Non-Aligned Movement, educating the public about their historical impact on global geopolitics. Academics and practitioners from various fields will participate in the cultural dialogue, engaging the public in active discussions on current issues and seeking innovative solutions based on the principles of friendship and cooperation between nations.

Through the festivities centered in Bandung, AAF 2025 will showcase the rich culture of Asia and Africa countries. Various activities, ranging from art exhibitions, culinary attractions, spectacular art performances, to a lively cultural carnival, have been prepared. All of these events are designed to enhance the promotion of Asia-Africa cultural diversity in the eyes of the world. For the Bandung City Government, the active participation of APEKSI and the success of this festival is expected to have a dual impact: encouraging significant tourism promotion and improving the local economy through increased tourist visits, affirming Bandung’s position as a center for inclusive global cultural diplomacy.
