The Regional Autonomy Policy (OTDA) is an important product produced during the reform period. It is important that the OTDA is consistent in a unitary state where policies cannot be confused. However, it is necessary to conduct an in-depth study due to the strengthening trend of recentralization. The implementation of the OTDA has been running for 23 years since Laws 22 and 25 of 1999 with varying results between regions. Before reaching the age of 25 in 2024, there needs to be an evaluation of the implementation of the OTDA, because the assumptions underlying the enactment of the two laws have undergone changes.
The MPD ICMI National Symposium “Strengthening Regional Autonomy Towards the Goals of a Prosperous Indonesia in 2045” was organized by MPD ICMI, Bogor City Government and APEKSI to explore the implementation of post-2024 decentralization, evaluate its implementation for more than twenty years which includes problems, challenges and opportunities from aspects crucial issues in the discussion space that are academic in nature, on:
