MEDAN – APEKSI held a Coordination Meeting of its Board and Chairperson of the Regional Commissariat on Tuesday (February 24th). Led by Surabaya Mayor Eri Cahyadi, this strategic meeting served as the “kitchen” for finalizing plans ahead of the grand event, the 18th National Working Meeting, scheduled for late June. A warm, Medan-like atmosphere enveloped the serious discussions on strengthening the directorate’s work and aligning aspirations across regions, ensuring that each city is ready to make a real contribution to national progress.
The main focus of this coordination meeting was to examine the overarching theme “Resilient City Sovereign Nation,” which will be adopted at the peak of the event. The mayors agreed that a nation’s resilience begins with the independence and resilience of its cities in facing global and domestic challenges. With a strong spirit of collaboration, this meeting in Medan is not merely a ceremony but a concrete step towards formulating inclusive and innovative policies to realize national sovereignty through stronger urban governance.
