BOGOR CITY — December 1, 2025. In the spirit of #APEKSInergi, the “Local to Global” program once again brought together Indonesian city governments with international networks. This time, APEKSI’s collaboration with the Bulgarian Embassy brought together 23 delegates—11 mayors, senators, and prominent businesspeople—who were welcomed in Jakarta and conducted a field visit to Bogor City Hall. This meeting provided a space for direct dialogue between city leaders to learn about governance and economic opportunities.
Throughout 2025, APEKSI consistently expanded Indonesian cities’ access to the global stage through a series of international exchanges. After hosting delegations from the Malaysian Smart Cities Association, a consortium of Thai academics and development partners, and a Philippine delegation, APEKSI also facilitated two large groups from the Atol Council of the Maldives for a learning visit to Denpasar. These initiatives strengthened city diplomacy and paved the way for new, sustainable collaborative networks.
During this meeting with the Bulgarian delegation, Bogor Mayor @dedierachim presented Bogor City’s best practices—from governance transformation and city development to its growing economic potential. The lively dialogue, both at City Hall and during a visit and luncheon at the Bogor Botanical Gardens, also involved the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), the Indonesian Student Association (HIPMI), and the Bogor Branch of BJB as local strategic partners.
APEKSI expressed its appreciation to the Bogor City Government and the Bogor Palace for their solid collaboration in organizing this series of events. Hopefully, this joint effort will further strengthen concrete partnerships between cities, provide tangible benefits, and open up opportunities for broader development collaboration in the future.
