APEKSI explored strategic collaboration opportunities with BasaIbu through a discussion meeting held at the APEKSI office on Wednesday (July 8, 2026). The meeting discussed various collaborative initiatives to strengthen the role of the younger generation in city development, ranging from improving digital literacy and artificial intelligence (AI), developing policy recommendations, and expanding youth community networks in various regions. BasaIbu also announced plans to expand its network to Wonosobo Regency in 2026 and Semarang City and its surrounding areas in 2027, following previous meetings in Denpasar, Makassar, Banjarbaru, and Mataram.<\/p>\n

One of the highlights of the event is the 2026 BasaIbu Youth Conference, which will be held simultaneously in several cities to commemorate the Youth Pledge Day. Furthermore, BasaIbu is developing an AI literacy guide, which APEKSI hopes will be supported in disseminating to city governments and various stakeholders. This collaboration is expected to expand the wise use of technology while also enhancing the capacity of the younger generation to navigate the era of digital transformation.<\/p>\n

APEKSI and BasaIbu also discussed synergies within the Wikithon program, which produces policy briefs as recommendations for youth-based policies. APEKSI is expected to facilitate the delivery of these recommendations to city governments and encourage the involvement of regional leaders through the wiki platform provided by BasaIbu. As a follow-up, opportunities for socialization and the signing of a memorandum of understanding will be discussed at the APEKSI Regional Commission III Working Meeting in Salatiga on July 21\u201323, 2026, as a step to strengthen collaboration in promoting more inclusive and participatory governance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
