Medan<\/strong> \u2013 As part of the 18th APEKSI National Working Meeting (Rakernas), APEKSI, in collaboration with the Medan City Communications and Informatics Office, held a two-day Digital Communications Forum titled “Digital Insights, Better Governance,” held from July 1-2, 2026. This forum provided a collaborative space for communications professionals and city government digital transformation managers to strengthen their understanding of the use of technology to support more effective, transparent, and responsive governance. The forum encouraged local governments to view digital transformation as a foundation for delivering modern, high-quality public services.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A variety of materials and workshops were presented to enhance participants’ capacities, covering everything from digital government policy direction, utilizing data and social media insights as a basis for decision-making, to strategies for building adaptive public communications amidst the development of information technology. The forum emphasized that digital transformation is not solely about the application of technology, but also encompasses strengthening governance, improving the quality of public services, and the government’s ability to deliver accurate, timely, and easily understood information to the public.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Through this Digital Communication Forum, APEKSI encourages city governments to continue strengthening collaboration, optimizing data utilization, and developing more inclusive and community-driven communication innovations.
