The event was also attended by U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce, <strong>Marisa Lago<\/strong> leading a high-level U.S. delegation to Indonesia as part of the Innovative Technology for Urban Infrastructure Development Trade Mission to deepen economic ties, advance U.S.-Indonesia trade, and engage on key areas of mutual interest, including digital infrastructure, smart cities, and sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis trade mission, the U.S. Department of Commerce\u2019s first mission focused on smart cities, brings some of the most cutting-edge U.S. companies in the technology and infrastructure industries to Indonesia,\u201d said Deputy Secretary Lago. \u201cWe will leverage the opportunities available for U.S. companies to support Indonesia\u2019s ambitious digital transformation agenda and plans to develop smart city infrastructure in hundreds of cities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the importance of the mission, U.S. Ambassador to Indonesia <strong>Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir<\/strong> said, \u201cThis trade mission represents the United States\u2019 unwavering commitment to strengthening private sector relations with Indonesia.
